Arley Arboretum and Gardens

Arley Arboretum and Gardens is like stepping back in time, with steam trains rolling in from across the hills and the traditional arboretum. There are lots of signposted walks, family activities and an Italian garden for the grown-ups. Spend the whole day exploring then settle down with a cup of tea in the onsite cafe.

Midland Air Museum

Situated adjacent to Coventry Airport, the Midland air museum offers a look at classic aeroplanes and military jets, you can even take a rare look at the engine of various planes, a view not often seen by the general public. There’s a coffee shop, parking facilities and exhibitions throughout the year.

Poole’s Cavern

Poole’s Cavern is a two-million-year-old natural limestone cave o the edge of Buxton in the Peak District. Set in the rolling Derbyshire hills. Explore the cavern on a guided tour with a geological expert to find out how crystal stalagmites and stalactites have been formed and lined the floor and ceiling of the cave for millions of years.

Amazona Zoo

Travel a few miles north of Norwich to get to this medium sized independent zoo in Cromer, where you can see more than 200 animals including monkeys, jaguar and crocodiles. There are educational areas to learn all about the animals of the amazon as well as an indoor and outdoor play area.
